This morning I woke up to a falling sky of whiteness.
To keep the snowy theme, I couldn’t resist posting this old picture of Leo as a pup; ~ 13 months old
What is there to do on a such a windy, white day?
I suggest splurging on a little chocolate.
This morning in the Eat This, Not That newsletter I read about the nutritious benefits of drinking 3 glasses of Chocolate Milk a day. The calcium helps build strong bones and reduce the amount of fat your body absorbsCalcium requires Vitamin D to do it’s job and chocolate milk has plenty of it. The article suggested avoiding whole milk, as is high in fat and calories, and instead sip on 1%. Vitamin D requires fat in order for it to break down in the body. Chocolate milk not only gives your taste buds a positive boost, but the rest of your body too. Studies performed revealed that when Chocolate milk was given to subjects prior to riding a stationary bike, they were able to ride harder and longer than those who drank normal carb sport drinks (The International Journal of Sport Nutrition). And last but not least sipping the brown stuff can help you build more muscle. Cheers to that! I think I’ll be drinking some brown-cow juice after pilates tonight!
