Remember Tara + Joe from this summer? Tara & Joe have celebrated several years of holidays together  BUT this holiday season was a little bit different — it was their first together as a married couple. Happy Holidays!

What have you two done since the wedding in June?
Joe and I have just enjoyed being newlyweds. We made our first big purchase, a brand new Nissan Rogue and are loving it! We also did some camping this summer and I started a new job this fall working from home… so far, so good! Joe is still doing the roofing thing. We hope to do house hunting in the next year or so.
Did you decorate for Christmas?
Since we live in an apartment, not much outside decorating, but we did put up a Christmas tree. We went with the red, silver and gold classic theme. We also hung stockings and garland, filled vases with cinnamon scented pinecones and other little items.
Did you start any new traditions?
Hmm… I hosted a Christmas Cookie Exchange, that was a first. It was nice to hang out with friends and family while trying out delicious cookies.
Watch any Christmas movies?
Joe and I love Elf… one of the best Christmas movies, can’t go wrong there. Currently we are watching Bad Santa… this may be my first time watching it, pretty funny.
Did you get a “First Christmas” ornament?
Nothing personalized, but I did find a “First Christmas Together” ornament. Even though we’ve been together over 6 years, this is our first Christmas as a married couple, so that’s special
Where did you go for the holidays?
We always end up splitting the holiday between our families. For Christmas Eve, we visited my family, went to Joe’s Granny’s house and then to my Grandma’s house. On Christmas day we do gift opening at Joe’s parents, Christmas breakfast with his mom’s side of the family and the afternoon at his aunt’s house. Unfortunately, my family is traveling to Texas on Christmas day to visit my brother, his wife and kids so we won’t see them.
What did you get each other?
We each picked out our own Christmas gifts, that’s okay right? Joe got me a beautiful rose gold Kate Spade watch. I got Joe various NFL jersey’s and a Brewer jersey. Every year we give each other our presents early, this year we made it to Christmas Eve… that’s pretty good for us!
What was your favorite part about being photographed again as a married couple? 
Besides having Ren as our photographer?! We love spending time with each other… doing fun, festive photo shoots are always a good time, plus we LOVE having the moments captured.
New Year Resolutions? Or goals for 2013?
Saving for a house!! We cannot wait to find the perfect house and then eventually get a puppy (unfortunately cannot have one at our apartment). I would like to continue growing as a couple and enjoying our lives together.
