A spiraling centerpiece tree, mosaic walls, metal-splatter-painted wall art, unique food, and a slick balcony (open during warm months) overlooking Capital Drive = Anaba Tea Room in Shorewood, Wisconsin.
Any way you slice it, this place was bomb-digity. I enjoyed the “come as you are” vibe, bubbly staff, and amazing food.
*Bonus* on this particular evening there was an art show & live music. I swear, the guitarist, he was a hybrid of Nick Drake & Colin Hay.
I tried things I never thought I would really enjoy: Oysters, Bone Marrow, and Duck Laab. ((All food that I could ditch my fork and eat with my fingers. How much better can you get?))
If you should find yourself in an I’m-craving-amazing mindset, I would recommend a visit to Anaba.
Locally owned and operated, Anaba Tea Room offers dining, tea and drinks in serene beautiful surroundings. We serve Asian-influenced lunches and dinners made from scratch with fresh, often local, ingredients. MORE HERE
ANABA TEA ROOM WOULD BE AN INCREDIBLE PLACE FOR A REHEARSAL DINNER, SMALL COCKTAIL HOUR, AND/OR BRIDAL SHOWER. ((MAKE SURE YOU BRING ME ALONG TO TAKE PHOTOS))
