Long car rides are great; I get to turn up the tunes, brainstorm wedding photo ideas & work-out the knots within my thoughts. Here are my untangled thoughts from yesterday’s car ride to&from Appleton.
When I take photos I do not statically flutter-the-shutter at any moving object;
I aim to capture the personalities & emotions within the real, raw, un-rehersed moments.
These are moments I am able to capture because my clients are more than clients; they are my truest friends.
My clients are my friends and their photos reflect a mixture of true happiness + strong level of comfort with me. My clients become my friends through dinner-dates, morning & afternoon chats over coffee, silly text messages about ice cream, hundreds of emails, long-distant-dizzy Face-timing, Facebook LIKEs + posts, adorable Instagram snaps, goofy tweets, and pathetic attempts for a grueling tennis match.
The most rewarding part of my job is, when long after my photography services have expired, my clients continue to keep in contact, meet for coffee, “like” my photos, and extend copious amounts of gratitude for their photos.
When a client takes the time to really let me know great she/he felt about the session & the resulting photos, it reassures me I have chosen the right career path and done my job! A Thankful & Happy client is the greatest reward! Not only is it my goal to ensure a client has an amazing time while we are shooting, but also LOVES the end result.
Thank you to all of my clients, their friends and family, my friends and family, and to all of my followers … THANK YOU for truly brightening each day with your kind words and support.
I find that the clients that are most appreciative about taking & receiving their photos are the ones that turn out the best.
Seven years ago I shot my first wedding. Since then, I have learned; “Gratitude Changes Everything”
I love little notes!
