Throughout their months of wedding planning, I knew both L+M had very simple + truly sweet expectations for their day: They just wanted to be married and for their friends + family to have a wonderful time. The result of their wedding wishes was an sensational event with romance written all over it!
From the first day I spoke to Marissa on the phone (11-19-2013), I knew their wedding was going to be nothing but wonderful! From the initial conversations, Marissa told me her one request was a photo of Lucas’ reaction to her coming down the isle. She was always so genuine when we would talk about her wedding plans, but I could tell, just being married to Lucas was her idea of the perfect wedding day. Everything else, was just a bonus. I loved how she spoke (and speaks) about Lucas and I know she truly appreciates him.
I was so thrilled when their big day arrived. Marissa + Lucas locked in their vows at The Church of Gesu. Their ceremony was elegant and full of tears. The décor was a portrayal of subtle elegance; blush florals, black hues, and metallic accents.
Their reception took place at the Grain Exchange. It too, was decorated with floral arrangements embellishing the beauty of the already-existing ornate space.
Caleb + I need to publicly thank Marissa + Lucas for making all of our photography dreams come true with their wonderful wedding. I have never felt more appreciated for our work. I am so thankful to have met and become friends with two, truly incredibly-kind, souls.
Thank you for including us in your wedding celebration. Enjoy Part One of your Preview! XOXO
Before the reception, we visited the Iron Horse Hotel, Estabrook Park. Their reception took place at one of my favorite venues, the Grain Exchange!
Trust, me you won’t want to miss it!! See Part Two HERE.
