Engagement photography is almost as big of a deal as the wedding photography, and the sessions are a lot of fun. If you have some idea in your head of engagement photos resembling those posed, awkward senior pictures, we’ve got a surprise for you.
Our engagement photography sessions really deserve a different name. They’re more like “lifestyle couples session” that just happens to take place while you’re engaged. An engagement session gives you an opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera, and it allows us to get to know you better as a couple. This leads to even better photography during your wedding. We absolutely love going on mini-adventures that allow me to get to know our clients + create beautiful unique images.

Wedding photos can reveal your personality, but the truth is, most of us don’t dress in tuxes and gowns and wander around being ourselves. A wedding day is special and different, and as a bride and groom, you might carry yourselves a little differently and behave a little differently than you normally would. Not only that, but many weddings often include elements upon the request of a parent or another family member that don’t necessarily reflect the choices you would have made.
During an engagement session, you can dress the way you want and style the entire session to show who you are as a couple. We can shoot in almost any location: your own home, a favorite outdoor spot, the place where you first met, or anywhere that is special and meaningful to you. We can find settings and backgrounds that we might not have access to (or time to find) on your wedding day.
