Located in the heart of Milwaukee, The Green Room is a 1000 sq. ft. space that is full of natural light, making it ideal for a variety of different types of photoshoots. Whether you’re working with children, families, or pets, the space is versatile enough to accommodate your needs.
One of the standout features of The Green Room is the over 30 live plants that are sprinkled throughout the space. These plants add a unique touch to any photoshoot and can really enhance the overall feel of the photographs. Additionally, there are various furniture pieces available for use, which means you don’t have to lug your own furniture & props to the studio.
But what really sets The Green Room apart is the natural light. With large windows that allow plenty of light to flood the space, you won’t have to worry about harsh, artificial lighting getting in the way of your shots. Instead, you’ll be able to capture your subjects in natural light, which is always the most flattering for family portraits, maternity sessions, branding photography, and more!

Overall, I highly recommend The Green Room as the best photography studio for rent in Milwaukee. Its combination of natural light, plant life, and furniture options make it the perfect setting for any photoshoot, and its convenient location means that you won’t have to travel far to find the perfect setting for your next project.

We have 3 rolls of backdrops at the studio. The Green Room photo studio always features a solid white backdrop, and we rotate through two different colored paper rolls. - DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM BOOKING REQUIREMENT?
Because it’s important to me to keep things as customizable and affordable as possible, we offer the space with a 1 hour booking minimum.
- WHERE IS THE STUDIO SPACE LOCATED?
The studio is located in the Lincoln Warehouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 2018 S 1st Street Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53207.
- DO YOU ALLOW STYLED SHOOTS, WEDDINGS, AND WORKSHOPS?
Yes! We would love to host your styled shoot, workshop, or small event! We charge an additional fee for all events.
- IS FOOD ALLOWED?
Yes! Please wipe down any surfaces that you set food on. Disinfectant wipes are provided for you. Please take out the garbage behind you, thank you!
- WHERE DO I PARK? IS IT FREE?
Yes! Parking is free! You will want to park in the Lincoln Warehouse parking lot on the NW side of the building – directly across from Bridgewater Restaurant which is along the river. (Red X is marked on the photo below)
- DO YOU HAVE HEAT & AIR CONDITIONING?
Yes! We have great heat and a small in-window air conditioning unit. Because we are heavily focused on our LIVE PLANTS the studio is kept cozy & warm. During the summer you are welcome to adjust the fans, turn up the AC, and open the windows as needed.
- WHY DOES THE STUDIO NEED TO BE KEPT WARM?
Every single one of our plants are real and they thrive on those toasty temps!
So, here’s the scoop: you are free to dial down the heat or even turn it off, BUT, it’s a MUST to crank it back up to at least 68 degrees before you head out. Our studio is nestled in a charming, vintage warehouse from 1928, and it gets pretty nippy in here. Without enough warmth, our plant buddies won’t make it through the winter.
