Alex + Mike were married at St Benedict’s after 6 years of happiness. Their reception was held in a purple-lit tent at the Abbey Resort.
Alex + Mike have been busy finishing college, starting their careers, AND planning a wedding. Whew! But they did it. And they did it beautifully with the help of family & friends.
The purple & gray color scheme, lovely florals, glittery touches, a live band, & tower of desserts… stunning!

Here is the toast I had previously written for Alex, but instead, chose to speak about Mike (best son-in-law ever). I thought I would still try to share it with everyone…as promised.
There have been 3 times in my life, since Alex was born, that I thought I might ‘lose’ her. (not be an adequate father figure). The first time was when I got divorced…Alex was only 2 years old. I thought the ex-wife or the court system would keep me from seeing Alex. I hugged her so tight…thought I would never be able to let her go. But, it turned out, the courts awarded me ‘maximum joint custody’ and Becky allowed me to see Alex whenever I wanted. The second time was when Alex went off to college and moved out of the house for the first time. I remember taking Alex out to eat, before dropping her off at the dorms, and feeling like it was going to be our last dinner together and giving her a big hug goodbye (with tears). It turns out, that college has only made Alex more successful, which was what my original goal was for Alex to begin with. Now, this third time arises, the marriage between Mike and Alex, where I have to ‘give’ Alex away. What I have learned, is that no matter where Alex is or who she is with, she will always be my DAUGHTER and I will always be there for her as her FATHER.
