Remember.

9/11/11

I didn’t realize it had happened until I watched repetitive footage on the news when I got home from school. When the North Tower was hit at 8:46 am in NYC I was in High School heading to English class.
Nervous chattering and fear seemed to fill the, already congested, hallways of AHS South Campus.
The only thing I remember after that was watching the same horrifying images from different angles replayed all in every class in school and then on the news when I got home from school. I remember my mom crying. I remember getting goosebumps.
I was worried for my uncle, whom was traveling that day. I was worried for my relatives in PA and my grandfather in Washington D.C. I was worried for all of the residents of NYC, Arlington, and Shanksville. I remember goosebumps on my arms accompanied by a sickly feeling.
Looking back, I was young (freshman in h.s.) and I had no real perception of the magnitude of destruction that happened that day.
2,973 people who perished September 11, 2001 after hijacked planes crashed
in New York City, in Arlington, Virginia and in Shanksville Pennsylvania.
Today marks the 10 year anniversary.
My thoughts go out to all the victims and their families.
